HANDLE YOUR INFLATABLE WITH CARE

Posted by: moonwalkersales on: June 17, 2010

Care and Cleaning
It is recommended that you clean your attraction with a mild and non-abrasive
cleanser. Sparkle is an organic solution perfect for safe and effective cleaning
maintenance. This fantastic cleaner can be purchased through Moonwalker
Sales, call our office for more information.
However “Simple green” also works good and you can get it at your regular Walmart store.

Never store your attraction if it is wet. Mold and Mildew will discolor, weaken
and infect the vinyl of your attraction with an awful scent.
The best thing to do is to inflate the game the next day (if is sunny) and let it dry by itself.

Anchoring

Posted by: moonwalkersales on: June 8, 2010

· YOUR INFLATABLE ATTRACTION SHOULD NOT BE OPERATED IN
WINDS THAT EXCEED 15-20 MPH, CHECK TYPE SPECIFIC
MANUALS FOR TYPE SPECIFIC WIND RATINGS.
· NEVER SECURE ANCHOR POINTS TO A VEHICLE OR OBJECT THAT
MAY BE INADVERTANLY MOVED WHILE AN ATTRACTION IS IN
OPERATION!

Your inflatable is neither stable nor secure if not anchored as per manufacturer instruction. An inflatable attraction does not “self-anchor” under its weight alone and can be moved, lifted or overturned by any unexpected gust of wind. Do not allow anyone to enter an inflatable until the unit has been properly anchored.
You will find several anchor points on your inflatable attraction. These anchor points are in the form of 2″ galvanized “D-rings” secured to your attraction by webbing loops around perimeter of the unit. Under no circumstances should you try to secure the inflatable at any other points on the attraction as this is not the recommended procedure for anchoring and will cause damage to your unit or injury to participants. As your
unit becomes fully inflated it should be secured at the anchor points with steel stakes measuring at least 36″ (40″ for slide outrigger applications) in length or sand bags (minimum weight requirements are noted in your game specific manual). Staking is recommended for soft ground and sand bags are recommended for hard ground and indoor erection. It is important that the anchoring locations are clearly indicated so as not impose a tripping hazard. Please refer to the additional operating instruction manual pertaining to each specific attraction for recommended lengths and positioning of anchor tools.

Inflatable Game Storage

Posted by: moonwalkersales on: June 1, 2010

It is recommended that you observe the fashion in which your inflatable is
received. Your inflatable is stored in a cylinder; sides folded into the middle,
folded again side over side and rolled front to back. The back of the unit will
have inflation chutes. Rolling your inflatable in this fashion allows the trapped
air to escape through the inflation chute while rolling and preparing the unit for
storage.
Your attraction is delivered in a “Swiss Roll”, secured with a strap or rope and
contained in a fitted storage bag. It is in this fashion that your inflatable should
be stored. A well cared for inflatable will maintain its “new look” and resist wear
much longer than if carelessly man handled. Never store an inflatable unit that
is wet. Mold and Mildew grows quickly on vinyl and this will not only discolor
your unit but will also make the attraction smell very bad! If the inflatable
becomes wet on an event, dry the unit as best you can before rolling. Upon
return to home base it is recommended that the unit be inflated until it is
completely dry.
Inflatables can prove to be extremely heavy items, take care in lifting your unit,
use hand trucks or dollies of adequate size, and always follow our
recommendations for the minimum amount of installers needed to safely install
and operate equipment.

Inflating your game!!!!!

Posted by: moonwalkersales on: May 6, 2010

Your attraction is now ready for inflation!
Plug the inflation fan into its power source. Each inflation fan needs one dedicated 110-volt (or 20 amp) circuit for safe operation. The inflation fan should never be set on or near a wet location; this poses a serious safety risk. The inflation fan should be placed within 100 feet of the power supply. Any distance over the recommended 100 feet poses a safety hazard due to the decrease in amperage carried through the lines, increasing the risk of burning out the motor of the inflation
fan thus leading to sudden and unexpected powerloss and deflation. If you are using extension cords it is strongly recommended that the trained operators inspect
the cords for any burns, cuts or abrasions that may lead to a faulty connection. Check all connections to make sure they are secure and no cords are posing a
tripping hazard. All inflation fans should be connected to a power source equipped with a GFI (Ground Fault Interrupter). Most circuits found in homes and public buildings are GFI standard, however, if the power supply is a gas run generator or a gas blower it is strongly recommended that this source be equipped with a GFI.
Inflation fans and cords should never be placed where it is easily accessible to the public. Any interruption in the power supply poses a safety hazard. Once the above
criteria have been achieved the trained operator may turn on the inflation fan and let the FUN begin to flow! (Additional requirements may have to be met as per the National Electric Code.)

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS·EMERGENCY PROCEDURES

Posted by: moonwalkersales on: April 16, 2010

Safety should be first on your mind when owning and operating inflatable attractions. Care should be taken with every step of installation and operation.
Important:
· It is strongly recommended that the trained ride operators be equipped with a whistle so as to be able to capture attention should an emergency
arise.
· When setting an inflatable indoors, NEVER set an inflatable where it interferes with access to emergency exits.
· Should adverse weather conditions develop (i.e. strong and/or unexpected wind gusts, electrical storm, heavy rains, etc.), the participants on all
attractions should be instructed to exit the inflatables and move themselves away from the attractions and to a safe distance. The power
source for the attractions should only then be interrupted and the attractions deflated.

INFLATBLE ATTRACTIONS SHOULD NEVER BE OPERATED IN HEAVY
RAINS, ELECTRICAL STORMS OR WHERE THERE IS EXCESSIVE WINDS.
· If for any reason sudden or unexpected deflation occur to any inflatable attraction it is important for the trained operator to keep the participants
of the deflating attraction calm and instruct them on exiting the attraction in a swift but safe manner. The trained operator should not try to free the
inflatable from its anchor points, as this would cause a safety hazard.

Things You Need To Know Before Set Up Your Inflatable

Posted by: moonwalkersales on: January 18, 2010

Welcome back to our blog, hope you are finding the information help full. In this blog we are going to talk about Set Up your inflatable game, the first part of this series is:

SITE SELECTION:

Before unrolling your inflatable you must first be sure you have selected a site that is level, dry and free from any debris that may damage the attraction.

If you find the surface on which the attraction is to be set abrasive, (i.e. tarmac, concrete or gravel) oily, wet or dirty, it is recommended that a ground tarp be laid on the undesirable surface before the attraction is set upon it. A ground tarp will prevent tearing, wearing and discoloration of the attraction. Your attraction should be set in an area where at least 5′ of clearance is available around all sides.

It is recommended that the entries and exits of the attractions have at least 7′ clearance. The additional space at these points ensures that spectators will not inhibit safe traffic flow in or out of the attraction. The additional clearance will also ensure spectators will not interfere with the view and ready access by the trained operator monitoring the safety of the participants within the attraction. The site for set up should also be checked for underground utilities before any ground stakes are applied to anchor the attraction. A thorough check may need to include contacting the local utilities group.
